How Do I Get A Special Spaniel Anyways?
Families must first apply directly with M.D. Dogs and complete their screening and approval process. They are the experts in evaluating readiness, matching dogs, and providing training.

once a family is approved by m.d. dogs, special spaniels for kids may step in to offer funding support toward the cost of their diabetic alert dog. assistance is provided on an as-needed basis meaning the amount of support may vary depending on each family's unique financial situation. some families may need a little extra help getting to the finish line, while others maY need more supplemental funding.
STEP 2:
APPROVAL & PARTNERSHIP
WE KNOW THESE DOGS CHANGE LIVES, BUT TO ENSURE OUR RESOURCES GO WHERE THEY'RE TRULY NEEDED, FAMILIES CANNOT APPLY DIRECTLY TO US FOR A FUNDED DOG. ALL FUNDING SUPPORT STARTS WITH AN M.D. DOGS APPROVAL AND A REAL, COMMITTED PLACEMENT PLAN. THIS HELPS PREVENT M.D. DOGS FROM BEING OVERWHELMED WITH APPLICATIONS FROM PEOPLE ONLY HOPING FOR A FULLY FUNDED PLACEMENT, AND IT ALLOWS BOTH ORGANIZATIONS TO FOCUS ON FAMILIES WHO ARE READY AND SERIOUS ABOUT THE PROCESS.
