Getting approved for a fully trained diabetic alert dog is a life-changing milestone, but reaching the fundraising goal can be one of the biggest hurdles along the way.
The Special Spaniels for Kids Finish Line Grant was created to help families who are already well on their way. This grant provides financial assistance to families of children with Type 1 Diabetes who have been approved by M.D. Dogs and placed on the waitlist for a fully trained diabetic alert dog and have made significant progress toward their fundraising goal.
When families have done the hard work of building support but still need help closing the gap, we're honored to help them take that final step toward bringing their child's service dog home.
